I am Rachelle Flatt ,
I have lived in Spokane most all my life. I still find new places and things here; which is amazing to me each and every time and I love it!
I have a wonderful firefighter husband that works equally hard helping out at home as he does at work. My son Owen is three and he makes my heart smile in a way I never thought possible. I just had the wonderful experience of welcoming my daughter Claire in to the world last year.
I earned my AAS photography degree from SFCC in 2005. Photography has been a love of mine since I can remember. I have been shooting weddings, family portraits and senior students through word of mouth since 2002.
I actively interned and assisted with a local photographer Gregory Mordick from 2002-2006
After the decision to stay home with our son I left the regular 9-5 job world in 2007.
Later returning to solely focus my career and passion of capturing peoples lives through photography with my own business in 2009.
I opened the studio location in the Mary Cliff Hall September of 2009. In the same space as I mentored with Gregory. Several years prior my mentor decided to change pace and do photography "on location". The space was empty for years. Fortunately I was able to have the optortunity to make it my own. Having this studio space allows me to reach more clientel in the general public as well as allowing me the space to experiment more with natural and studio lighting scenrios.
I have been focusing on Weddings the last two years and it has been a great balance to the family and maternity portraits, its a different pace and always interesting, and special.
As a generally friendly, people person I love meeting new couples, families and children. I look forward to getting to know & photographing my clients throughout the years especially as the children grow and change. It happens so fast! I encourage my cleints to bring a piece of themselves to the photo session. I want your creative ideas and suggestions. I believe your images should reflect who you are and your life. I don't put time constraints on regular photo sessions. Through outfit changes,makeup touch ups, potty breaks, diapers, or feedings. I take the time nesessary to get you the best quailty images.
It is my hope to capture your most treasured moments.
